Olivia Penpraze.
19 years old.
Died from a Suicide attempt that left her brain dead. Her parents made the hardest decision of their lives by turning off her life support.
She had a Tumblr account with over 900 posts sharing her emotional turmoil, dealings with depression, loneliness & thoughts about her wanting to take her own life.
The only response she got, was insensitive assholes, like the majority of people on Tumblr, encouraging her to do it. She was bullied consistently.
Olivia attempted to kill herself every year in May 1st since 2008.In May 2012, her short life came to an end.
I know most people can’t tolerate posts like Olivia’s, whom find it attention seeking.
My point to you people is…EXACTLY!!
Of course it’s attention seeking what else it?! People share that part of themselves over the Internet because they obviously feel they can’t talk to anyone they know nor do they think anyone would care.
All I want is for people to cut out the bullying & talk to people like Olivia.
A conversation to someone in desperation could save their life.If people can’t say something nice, don’t say anything at all.

Please, please be good to each other on Tumblr. And in life. How unbelievably heart-breaking that her life was cut short.

First piece I’ve done in a while that wasn’t fan art. I’m hoping it helps kick off my imagination and I keep going in this direction. I needed to do more original art for its own sake. It’s not perfect by any means but it makes me happy. :)

This is why I don’t post videos of drawings.
Because it’s boring. It’s not the magic trick that everyone wants. It’s a long-ass boring process that takes like 15 hours if done properly. There’s nothing dynamic about it. I don’t use ever color every time. It’s minutiae and nostrils, and what did you expect. What did you expect.
This. THIS. A thousand times: THIS. It’s not a magic trick. I HIGHLY respect the work of Euclase, as well as several other tumblr artists I follow, but I don’t think for a second that their paintings came without a ton of hard work. Stop trying to buy talent in a box. There is no secret. There’s no fast way. It’s like working out. Sure, you can cheat, but in the end it will only cost you. The only way to get really good is to practice.
I’m no amazing artist or anything, not on Euclase’s level by a long shot, but I work hard on my art and I do it because I love it. It’s that love that, I’m sure, drives Euclase to put in the 15-20 hours of effort into each drawing. Either that or copious amounts of meth snorted off the ass of a squirrel in leather chaps. I don’t know. I think it’s love though. Anyway, I could put in 15 hours on a piece and it still wouldn’t look that good but with enough practice, eventually it WILL and I’m good with that.
So yeah. Suck it up and just draw because you love drawing. Or put the damn pen down and stop bitching.
There’s already a Change.org petition against the passing of Amendment One, which banned same-sex marriage, civil unions, and domestic partnerships in North Carolina. These things actually tend to be pretty damn effective.
Let’s see what the power of Tumblr can do! I know there’s at least a million Tumblr users who are against this sort of harmful discrimination and bigotry.
Sign the petition and reblog to spread the word, please!
Because if we don’t fight for the rights of two consensual adults to love one another, then what IS there worth fighting for?

Top Left: Otters make AWESOME ballerinas.
Top Right: Otters have a great deal of trouble starting goth bands…too many fans find them adorable. It kills the drama.
Lower Left: Mondays suck. Even otters agree.
